The Neshama Project was founded by Rachelle Tratt in 2012 with the mission of helping to educate and spread the messages of those making this world a healthier, brighter, more soulful place. In fact, her card reads: “In every moment, in every day, find ways to make people smile, wake them up, give them hope, and let them shine.” Rachelle’s journey is one of resilience and love. She lost her mom suddenly and tragically at the tender age of 9, and by 17, found herself deeply steeped in a journey of soul healing and discovery. On one of her first pilgrimages to Israel to retrace her lineage, she was gifted a blue hamsa. She held the omen close to her heart as she healed the loss of her mother, and eventually realized she was meant to share it with the world. Neshama means soul, a perfect reflection of Rachelle’s journey and an honor to her mother, Nicole. Rachelle also honors her mother’s legacy by giving back; 10% sales go to support The Neshama Project’s partner charities, Innovation Africa and Zeno Mountain Farm.

The Neshama Project revolves around the hamsa, an ancient Middle Eastern amulet that symbolizes the Hand of God or Universal Spirit. In all faiths, it is a symbol of protection, and is meant to bring it’s owner happiness, health, and good fortune. The Leah (named after the founder’s sister) is a 15 mm Israeli Opal on an 18 inch rose gold filled chain.

The Leah Necklace serves as an anchor and a mirror to see how you, too, wear your beautiful soul.
